Ex-Iran powerlifter Dimasi dies

TEHRAN – Mansour Dimasi, silver medalist at the 2000 Paralympic Games, passed away Monday night.

He died at the age of 50 at the Shahid Sadoughi Hospital in Yazd, central Iran.

Dimasi won a silver at the men's 75 kg powerlifting at the Downes Pavilion in Sydney, Australia.

Tehran Times extends its deepest sympathy to Dimasi’s family, loved ones, and friends over his demise.
